The Jacksonville Jaguars have had a turbulent season. Pulling from the bottom, they were somehow able to make it to the AFC division with the prowess of their quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who was able to make his playoff debut. Even though the Jaguars lost, they still ended up finishing in a respectable position. However, all is not good in Jacksonville. The organization has had some trouble going on, in-house. There was a lawsuit lodged against a former coach, Urban Meyer by a former Jaguars player. And now, recently, the former player made a huge announcement.

An ex-Jaguars player, who had made some serious accusations against Meyer, shared important news about his career. The NFL Insider, Dov Kleiman went on to share the news on Twitter. It garnered some attention from the fans. Furthermore, against the backdrop of the lawsuit the player had pursued, one might be forced to speculate the reason behind the player leaving.

Has conflict within the Jaguars forced out their players?

The player in question is the ex-Jaguars’ kicker, Josh Lambo. Lambo previously played for the Jaguars until 2021, when he had a controversy with his former coach. The kicker went on to file a lawsuit against Meyer for his misconduct. Lambo filed the suit after Meyers kicked him during practice. The kicker was released by the Jaguars. He went on to play one game of his 2022 season with Tennesse Titans. However, the kicker has since announced that he will be retiring from the NFL.

In his post on Instagram, he mentioned that he will be retiring to pursue his dream of being an author and a speaker. Interestingly, while he went on to thank all the people he encountered on his NFL journey, he mentioned that he was only thanking a “few select coaches”.

Furthermore, NFL fans went on to react to Lambo’s retirement message. Fans reacted to both the news of Lambo retiring as well as the message he put up.

Fans get snarky after Lambo announces retirement

NFL fans are known to be brutal when it comes to their opinions about anything that happens in the league. And the case of Lambo’s retirement is no different. One fan spoke about how Lambo was a good kicker.

Furthermore, one fan ostracized Lambo for retiring.

However, fans spoke up against Meyers.

There were also comments about how Meyers was responsible for Lambo leaving.

Some fans pinpointed the snarky message Lambo had in his caption.

Finally, fans also believed that his message in the caption was appropriate.

All in all, fans went on to make some interesting deductions after Lambo’s retirement announcement. There was certainly some speculation about how Lambo might have left the NFL due to actions of Meyer against him.

However, one cannot know the true reason behind the kicker’s departure from the NFL. Fans can only wait and watch if Lambo ever decides to reveal his real reason for leaving the league.
