The Cincinnati Bengals have a lot of work ahead of the new season. Last year, the Bengals had an awful campaign in the AFC. The Bengals finished the season 4-11, the joint 4th worst record in the NFL.
However, they have been given a strong chance to improve their team. The Bengals have the fifth seed going into this year’s NFL Draft, and one former NFL executive believes that the Bengals have to draft an offensive tackle.
Former NFL executive Mike Tannenbaum addressed the Cincinnati Bengals on ESPN. He talked about the controversy of the European Super League in soccer, and how the league disbanded in just two days.

If the Bengals do not draft an OT, Tannebaum believes they should disband and leave the NFL. Tannenbaum pointed to how Joe Burrow’s efforts were wasted.
“Yesterday, we saw the (European) Super League just disband overnight. If the Cincinnati Bengals don’t draft an offensive tackle, they should be disbanded and revoked from the NFL. Last year, Joe Burrow threw the ball 450 times in 10 games. Unacceptable.”

Cincinnati Bengals to draft an offensive tackle?
Tannenbaum added that that the Bengals have no choice in this year’s NFL Draft. They have to select an offensive tackle with the 5th overall pick. He pointed to Penei Swell, one of the best offensive tackle prospects in the draft as a good option.
Tannenbaum isn’t concerned with the other attractive option in the draft, or in the trade market. The Bengals need to use their pick and bring in a great offensive tackle.

“They cannot go out on the field this year unless they draft an offensive tackle, Penei Sewell (for example), with the fifth pick. I don’t care if it is the US Olympic track team out there.

Will the Cincinnati Bengals draft an offensive tackle? It appears as though that is a position that needs to be addressed. However, the Bengals have made notable draft blunders over the years.
They must take this decision very carefully and make sure it’s the right one. Furthermore, they have to ensure that the player is being developed properly once they draft him.
