NFL News: Former Super Bowl Winner Marshawn Lynch Reveals He Spoke to Tom Brady and Buccaneers About Return

Marshawn Lynch is one of the best running backs to play in recent memory. The former Super Bowl winner was one of the most charismatic figures in the NFL during his stint.
Lynch quietly became a fan favorite wherever he played, and his absence is still felt in the NFL. However, he was pretty close to returning to the league last year, with a team he had already played with, but with a new leader in Tom Brady.
Former Super Bowl winner Marshawn Lynch spoke to ESPN recently. When asked whether he would return to the NFL this season, potentially to the Buccaneers, Lynch denied a return right now.

However, he did note that he discussed a potential return last season with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “That was last year. I think that time has passed. And I was specifically speaking to Tom Brady and the Bucs. That’s who I was talking to.”
Lynch’s comments could very well be true. We saw several players in the Buccaneers last season that the NFL had not seen from or given up on.
Several players such as Antonio Brown, Ndamukong Suh, Rob Gronkowski, and even Tom Brady himself had not been at the forefront for at least a few years.
However, that didn’t stop them from translating that wealth of experience into a Super Bowl title win.

Tom Brady helped rebuild careers last season
Tom Brady recruiting players to come to Tampa is no surprise. He was able to convince Rob Gronkowski to come out of retirement and had the Buccaneers trade for his rights. Furthermore, Brady clearly saw something in players like Suh and Brown and took a chance on them.

It is fair to say that Brady is one of the best in the game at bringing out the best in others. However, he would refuse to take credit, and give it all to the teammates who worked hard on themselves.
