The NFL has heroes that do so much more than play hard on the field. An iconic running back on the field, Peyton Hillis has been a hero for his children. The former  Cleveland Brown was reportedly rushed to the hospital after he saved the lives of his children. He truly fulfilled his duties of being a father. For a scary moment, the former running back’s critical condition had become a course of concern for the fans.

He remained in the ICU for about two weeks. However, it seems like Hillis’ fans can take an easy breath for now. His girlfriend shared some positive news that would certainly make the fans very happy. Previously, the running back was reported to be in critical condition, while improving in condition steadily.

The Dad-Hero Peyton Hillis now out of danger

The former NFL running back indeed went above and beyond for his children. He bested Mother Nature herself on 5th January as he had saved his children from drowning in the ocean near Pensacola Beach, as per WBTV. While he was successful in saving his children, Hillis had to be rushed to the hospital. He had remained there, recovering from being in a critical state. However, recently his girlfriend has announced that Hillis is set to be discharged and is out of danger.

His girlfriend took to social media to share the happy news of his discharge. She shared a picture of the Hillis with the hospital staff and thanked God for the happy news of the release.

She exclaimed her gratitude and wrote, “God is so good! Peyton has been discharged from the hospital. The amount of love and gratitude I have for the incredible team that took care of Peyton is indescribable.” She also took to Instagram to express her gratitude to the doctors.

Hillis’ sweetheart shows her undying gratitude

The songwriter took to Instagram to thank the staff who took care of Hillis. She made sure that the fans knew that Hillis was making progress. Furthermore, she was generous with her words to the staff. She mentioned the extra mile the staff of the hospital went to ensure that not just Hillis but also his family were doing okay. Furthermore, with the excellent care, the doctors provided the former NFL star, it seems like he’s on his way to making a full recovery.

With Hillis out of danger, it looks like the fans can finally relax now. The news of his discharge from the hospital is truly a heartwarming end to a brave story that began with a heroic father protecting his children.
