In over two decades in the public sphere, Tom Brady has earned plaudits for his demeanor both on and off the field. He is not a stranger to the camera as seen during his career in the NFL. However, most of his time in the spotlight has been real and not reel. Films and TV shows like ‘Ted 2’ and ‘Entourage’ may have allowed him to ease into Tinseltown, but working with Hollywood royalty in ’80 for Brady’ was probably a tad daunting.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion may have been an assured and confident pro when it came to high-pressure situations on the football field, but as per a 76-year-old SAG winner, he was quite tentative on the movie set.

2023 SAG lifetime achievement award winner Sally Field spilled the beans about Brady’s time on set. It’s quite the twist! In an exclusive interview with People for the magazine cover story, the American actress described how the football legend’s nerves manifested during filming.

She recollected, “He was lovely. He just was Tom Brady. He was a completely lovely human. He told me, ‘I’m so nervous.’ He felt like he didn’t know where to put his feet. But he was a natural. Athletes get the same kind of adrenaline, except most actors aren’t worried that their limbs will be ripped off.”
