The highly-reputed NFL journeyman was escorted off the field with a hip injury in the 1st quarter against the Chargers. Scans later revealed that Fitzpatrick would be out for an ‘extended period leaving coach Rivera with two quarterbacks to choose from – Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen.
