“I Didn’t Think It Was A Necessary Comment”: Joe Burrow Replied To Don Martindale’ Words With Actions

Cincinnati Bengals went against the Baltimore Ravens last night. The Baltimore Ravens were not 100% before their Week 16 match-up, but it didn’t stop their DC from talking smack. Don Martindale did not consider Joe Burrow a Hall of Fame-caliber talent, and that was it. He did not show any mercy to the Ravens yesterday. After a record-setting performance, Burrow proved him wrong.
Before playing the Cincinnati Bengals, Martindale said, “I don’t think we’re ready to buy a golden jacket for Joe.” The golden jacket, of course, refers to the legendary NFL Hall of Fame jackets. But not only did the Bengals dominate the Raven, but Joe Burrow had the best game of his career yet.

Joe Burrow had an amazing Sunday
Given the Ravens did not have their best line-up, the star quarterback Lamar Jackson was missing. But the Bengals did not show any mercy. They took the ball and ran it to the ground.
The words of Don Martindale might have lit a fire inside Joe Burrow. He came to the field with determination, and just like the Avengers Hawkeye, Joe never missed a target. His game was so solid that he made NFL history. Joe threw a record-setting 525 Yards. He also made four touchdowns and had a passer rating of 143.2. All of these stats are his career-high.
