Among the two, Edelman has been one of the only constant wide receivers to be Brady’s target with 11 seasons with the Patriots under his belt. Edelman had an interesting connection to the NFL before he even got to the league. While on Gilbert Arena’s show, the WR spoke about an interesting experience he had that involved another wide receiver, the infamous Jerry Rice. Reportedly, the New England Patriots WR dated Rice’s daughter when he was in high school. He mentioned how he was absolutely terrified of the WR.

He mentioned how Rice was intimidating him and he understands that sentiment now, given that he has a daughter. However, Edelman pulled off an interesting stunt at Rice’s house.

He even admitted this on the show and said, “I was terrified. And I have a little girl now so I understand. You know, so you kind of get it a little punk little kid coming thing and he’s dating the daughter and stuff. But I’ll tell you one thing. When Jerry wasn’t there, I was putting on the Super Bowl rings and everything.” What is even more interesting is the strange twist of fate that occurred in Edelman’s life as a pro footballer.

All three times, Edelman was a necessary factor in determining the win alongside Brady. Throughout these 3 wins, the WR has a whopping 24 receives, 337 receiving yards, and 17 rushing yards. Along with these, he also had 1 crucial touchdown in the 2015 Super Bowl. He even finished his last Super Bowl in 2019 with a rare wide receiver Super Bowl MVP award.
