The Tampa Bay Buccaneers progressed to the race of playoffs. That happened only because the NFC South division has played poorly. Tampa Bay will go face-to-face against the Dallas Cowboys in a wildcard round. Therefore, we can only imagine the pressure on the Pewter Pirates. Especially on the lead QB, Tom Brady, who was backed up by the team’s quarterback coach.
The seven-time Super Bowl-winning QB has compared playing in the NFL to running a marathon. But now that there are younger runners, can the star shot-caller defeat them to win the ultimate prize?

Clyde Christensen has been Brady’s QB coach for three seasons now. According to him, as a shot-caller, TB12 bears the most weight of the entire team on his back. There’s an unbelievable strain on the 15x Pro Bowl QB. And this year especially because of his very public divorce. Along with that, he lost his starting center, Ryan Jensen, to an injury. Therefore, because of an unimpressive season, Brady had to face harsh criticism.

Even though the team had the league’s worst rushing attack (fewer than 80 yards per game) and the second-lowest passing yards per attempt (6.4 yards), the coach believes that Tampa Tom has no problem standing in the pocket and taking a hit.

“I’d have to punch out anyone who said he looked scared in the pocket,” Christensen said. “I know people have said, ‘Yeah, he looks scared or his age showed because he threw the ball so quick.’ No! Because there were probably 45 sacks he avoided. If you’re an inexperienced quarterback, you take the sacks and the drives are over. If you think anything different, you don’t know football.”

He also revealed that although the star QB did not know who would play in the final regular-season game at Atlanta, Tom Brady wanted to play in all four quarters. Despite the roadblocks and problems, the QB sailed to the playoffs. With 4,694 throwing yards, 25 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions, he had a successful season. Like thousands of his fans, even Christensen thinks the Bucs will win the Super Bowl.
