The Dolphins had their playoff dreams end early. They played their wild-card game against the Buffalo Bills and lost their one chance to break through further into the playoffs. However, fans were not happy for two different reasons. One was obviously the fact that the Dolphins lost the game. One another reason was the way the referees were calling the game.

The Dolphins quarterback, Skylar Thompson, suffered a few brutal tackles during the game. There was one, in particular, that fans truly believed should have been a foul but was not called. Thompson did seem like he was brutally tackled on the play that fans were furious about.  As the video went viral, fans were not happy that there was no call from the referees. Fans were not happy with the kind of officiating that had been going on during the game.

They took to Twitter to blast the refs and officials for their calls. One fan claimed that the same would not have happened to other members of the league.

Furthermore, there were fans who agreed with how unfair it was that a flag wasn’t called.

There were also comments on what would’ve happened if this was Brady.

There was also a tweet that spoke about it being intentionally uncalled.

However, there were a lot of fans who argued that there was no call whatsoever.

Ultimately, it seems like the fans were very conflicted about what exactly the call should or should not be. Regardless, the Miami Dolphins still suffered a loss and are now out of the running. It does make one wonder how the Dolphins would have fared in the playoffs if their star QB Tua Tagovailoa was still playing. Alas, it was not meant to be.

Just three days before the playoffs, it was determined that Tagovailoa would not be playing for the Dolphins. Only after his place in the concussion protocol was confirmed, did the Dolphins make the decision to start Thompson. That is not to say that fans were not disappointed.
