“I’ll Miss The Guys…”: Teary-eyed Aaron Rodgers Makes a Scary Call Amid Retirement Debate

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers had a disappointing exit from the NFL after their playoff dreams were crushed. The Packers suffered a bitter loss to the Detroit Lions. Ultimately, the Packers were not able to pull off their last-minute entrance into the playoffs. After the loss, the disheartened QB spoke at the press conference and spoke about a scary possibility.

During the press conference, Rodgers was asked about the possibility of his game against the Lions being the last one on Lambeau Field. However, the cause of worry will indeed be Rodgers’ cryptic response.

The Packers fought a hard-fought battle to claw their way back into the playoffs but it seems it was for naught. Furthermore, Rodgers’ press conference at the end of their season might be a cause for even more anguish for the fans. The Packers quarterback addressed the media with a heavy heart. He seemed saddened by more than just the loss.

The trusty press asked Rodgers what he would miss the most if this was his last game at Lambeau Field. He signaled that he would miss his regular interactions with the media and the interesting questions they would pose. He took a brief, pensive pause and said, “I’ll miss the guys, I’ll miss the fans.” Rodgers soon ended the press conference and seemed to have left with a heavy heart. Despite such a hard-fought season, the quarterback failed to make the playoffs. This might have been supremely demotivating as Rodgers might have hinted at retirement before as well.

Repeated messages of possible retirement

It seems like retirement is on Rodgers’ mind after such a disappointing end to his season. Apart from his cryptic message at the press conference, Rodgers had also spoken more about the actual worth of playing another season. Furthermore, the quarterback had spoken about the different things that might be more important if he stepped away.
