The NFL may be the most popular football league in the world, but nothing beats the passion of college football. Michigan fans proved this well beyond measure when their team created history and beat Ohio State after 10 years!

Michigan defeat Ohio State 42-27; fans storm field in celebration

Michigan defeated Ohio State 42-27 thanks to five rushing touchdowns by running back Hassan Haskins. With six total rushing touchdowns on the afternoon, the Wolverines did all of their damage on the ground. Michigan’s sharp offensive display also meant that they broke an old record.

The Wolverines’ offence rushed for a total of 299 yards which is the most by an Ohio State team under head coach Ryan Day’s tenure. Following the incredible victory, Michigan fans descended on Big House Stadium. The fans then went onto have a time of their lives. With a large contingent taking to the field, singing and waving scarves, Michigan fans capped off in what was a night to remember.

Wolverines Quarterback Cade McNamara elated after historic win over Ohio State

The historic win required a historic effort from the players and the team. Luckily for Michigan, their stars aligned at the right time as the offence and defense combined perfectly to pull off a win for ages. While RB Hassan Haskins was the star in offence with an astounding 5 TD’s and 169 rushing yards, the defence was equally impressive.

Aidan Hutchinson was the star man for the Wolverines defense. The talented defender picked up an impressive three sacks to set a new single-season program record with 13 takedowns. After the match, the Wolverines Quarter back Cade McNamara revealed how important the win was for his team.
