Julian Edelman arrived in the NFL as a 7th-round pick (232nd pick). The California-born athlete was drafted by Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots at the 2009 NFL Draft. He was a quarterback during his time with the Kent State Golden Flashes football team.

The Patriots held private workouts with Edelman prior to the 2009 NFL Draft and were keen to work with him. He always knew that he wasn’t good enough to make an NFL roster as a quarterback and trained to play in various offensive positions. “But other than that, in that note, what else is talking about? He had a great career, three Super Bowls, Super Bowl MVP….

“What else was there to talk about when you start talking about the Hall of Fame? I mean, miss me with that,” Johnson said on the show.
