The Buccaneers had a terrific win this week, sealing a thumping victory against the Carolina Panthers and securing the division title. All thanks to the iconic partnership of Tom Brady and Mike Evans that bore fruit in the last quarter of the game. Moreover, it also turned out to be a moment for Brady to thank the 7-year-old who asked him to throw 100 yards in a single effort.

Recently, the Buccaneers quarterback indulged in a fun session with the Jr. Bucs fan club consisting of kids below 14 years of age. One of the young fans asked Brady if he could throw a perfect 100-yard pass to Mike Evans. Calling himself a normal human being, the veteran vowed to sling it 60 yards at the max, and guess what? He launched a 63-yard bullet toward Mike Evans in a crucial game of the season.

Interestingly, this play came just two days into his unofficial promise. “Sean, I love that you think I could throw it 100 yards, I don’t have a rocket for an arm though! I just have a normal arm like a human being. I could probably throw it maybe 60 yards to Mike, but 100 yards is a long way!” Brady said to the kid named Sean.

“Maybe by the time you’re older, there’ll be enough technology to help people throw the ball 100 yards,” he added. Well, at the Raymond James stadium, it was a crazy firework from the Buccaneers’ offense who outplayed Darnold and his team.

Evans contributed 10 catches for 207 yards and 3 touchdowns. All those TD passes from Brady appeared like pinpointed shots that perfectly landed at the hands of veteran wideouts. The second-quarter bullet of 63 yards turned out to be the highlighting moment of the game. “Tom was just dropping dimes,” Eavan said after the game, via ESPN.

“I love playing out there with him, and he’s an amazing player — I’ve missed him too many times this year, so it was nice to connect with him, and hopefully we can keep that going. I think we will,” Brady said in his statement.
