The world-renowned Brazilian beauty, Gisele Bündchen, has ruled the fashion world since the onset of her highly successful career. Her career reigned for twenty decades. In those expansive years, the supermodel appeared on more than 1,200 magazine covers. Just like her NFL player husband, Tom Brady, she started young in her modeling career. Her discovery story is inspirational to thousands of young people. And rightfully so, because the queen of runway kick-started her career when she was only 14!

How many times it has happened that a beautiful girl is spending time at the mall and gets discovered by one of the largest modeling agencies? Well, this happened to the American sweetheart. When Gisele was 14 years old, a modeling agent for Elite Model Management spotted her.

In an interview, she said, “I was very grown-up at 14 years old. I was like, “Of course, I’m gonna move out of my parents’ house and go make a living itself, I’m already 14, I’m so old.” Working as a model also came naturally to her. “It was very easy for me because I could go there and could be very objective. It was very simple, it was a character I was playing.”

Then began the triumphant career of Gisele Bündchen. At the age of 15, Bündchen participated in a modeling contest of the agency that discovered her. In that contest, she ranked second nationally and fourth globally.

The contest gave her the proper boost to launch her modeling career professionally. The following year, the soon-to-be face of Dolce & Gabbana moved to New York City.

After that, she made her runway debut at the New York Fashion Week. It is one of the fashion industry’s main annual events. She appeared on the cover of American Vogue (July) in 1999. The magazine proclaimed her as the ‘Return of the Sexy Model.’ Her arrival marked a cultural reset for the fashion industry.
