Aaron Rodgers has finally left his first home, Green Bay Packers, and landed in the Big Apple. After he officially became a New York Jet, the city of New York, including his teammates, let out a big sigh of relief. With a QB of Rodgers’ caliber, the Jets might have finally found the missing piece of the puzzle. Interestingly, Rodgers is not the only asset that the Jets have. The Jets are also very lucky to have some untapped potential in their second year, Garrett Wilson.

Wilson has been making waves in terms of the way he has played in the first year of his NFL stint. Moreover, even the rookie has expressed his willingness to play with someone as talented as Rodgers.

Wilson has proven to be a brilliant wide receiver, who definitely has a lot of potential. Moreover, he has been lucky enough to get a QB that might just unlock this potential he has. The rookie is definitely excited to see Rodgers come and play with them. He has even spoken about how he is ready to learn and that being around other Packers receivers is a great opportunity for him. As per NFL, he said, “Yeah, man, it’s been really special. I try to be as much of a sponge as I can be and make sure I’m learning and spending time with Randall and Allen. People that have been around Aaron, so that I can make sure I’m picking up all the nuances of the offense and trying to put myself to where I’m feeling 100 percent comfortable out on the field.”

While the rookie has been exceedingly humble with the way he is approaching the game, he himself is an unstoppable force on the field. Just in his first 17 games, Wilson has proven to be a brilliant asset for the team.

While he has been very eager to learn, Wilson himself isn’t a slouch on the field. He has had an exceedingly brilliant first year. He went on to play all 17 games of the season. During these games, he has made an astonishing 83 receives. Furthermore, he has also put up a total of 1,103 receiving yards. As a rookie, Wilson even went on to make 4 receiving touchdowns and won Offensive Rookie of the Year.

All in all, Rodgers is coming to a team wherein even the rookies are filled with brilliant potential. However, it only remains to be seen if Rodgers is able to convert this potential into something close to the promised land.
