During Halloween weekend, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones dressed up as a blind. Moreover, he was wearing glasses, and a referee’s costume, and holding a white cane. He was possibly making fun of the NFL referees by portraying them as blind people.

This costume garnered plenty of criticism from fans. Additionally, the director of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB), Chris Danielsen, rips apart the Cowboys owner and billionaire for sporting that type of costume.

As per TMZ, Mr. Danielsen called Jones’ attire ‘unfortunate’, as he implied that blind people are ‘incompetent’. He said, When anyone perpetuates that stereotype, it’s harmful.

Later Danielsen tried to teach Jones a lesson, as he said, He does have blind Cowboys fans… They show up at games and put on headsets or listen on the radio. It may be something for him to think about.

After wearing the costume, Jones earlier commented, Oh yeah, I had the cane and everything. And I used it on some people, too.”

It is worth noting that NFL owners, coaches, and players usually receive hefty fines if they criticize the referees. Earlier, many reported that Jones could receive a massive fine from the NFL. However, the NFL decided not to reprimand the Cowboys owner. It was not the first time this season Jones had done something out of order. During his visit to Philadelphia, he tried to aggravate a few Eagles fans as he was mocking them. After that, the crowd started booing him heavily and used some explicit words as well. In the end, the Cowboys lost against the Eagles.

While Jones has garnered controversies off the field, his team, the Cowboys are flying high at the moment. In the NFC East division, they are sitting in the second position with a 6-2 win-loss record. Since the return of their star QB Dak Prescott, the America’s Team has won 2 back-to-back matches.

On the other hand, the NFC East division is possibly one of the most competitive divisions in the league, as the top three teams performed incredibly well so far. The Eagles are currently sitting at the top with an unbeaten record, as the Cowboys and the Giants are sitting in second and third position, respectively with identical records.
