Patrick Mahomes opened up about the change in his game after Tyreek Hill left the Chiefs

Talking about his perspective regarding Hill leaving, Mahomes said, Obviously, it made me step up as a quarterback. It’s made me get through my progression faster. I’m the right guy. We’ve added a lot of great playmakers that can do a lot of different things.

“We have speed, we got size, we got a lot of guys that come in and can make stuff happen. So for me as a quarterback, it’s my job to find that guy in the right situation,” Mahomes further said.

On the other hand, Hill moved to the Dolphins this off-season. He did not like the way the Chiefs treated him. Talking about it, the WR said, “I feel like when the Kansas City Chiefs traded me, I kind of took that personal… So now what really motivates me is I feel like they basically just threw me to the side like I was trash or something.”

Replacing a player like Tyreek Hill was not easy for the Chiefs; so, they added Marquez Valdes-Scantling and JuJu Smith-Schuster to the roster. They also picked Skyy Moore in the NFL draft. Now, they are hardly missing the Cheetah, as the Team is flying high at the moment and Mahomes is leading by example.
