NFL franchise Denver Broncos outside linebacker Randy Gregory was almost certain to re-sign with the Jerry Jones-owned Dallas Cowboys. But Gregory had a change of heart as he ended up signing with the Broncos while being off-put by the Cowboys dealing in bad faith.

It seems to have been quite bothersome for him as he even ended up calling out the Cowboy Nation to be full of toxic fans.

The former Cowboys pass rusher recently underwent surgery on his shoulder, and it might be something that his former franchise might have been holding against him. The procedure would have sidelined Gregory for the offseason while he recovers and might have made the Cowboys hesitant to offer more. The hesitancy in offering a lucrative contract to him might have been hurtful.

He ended up recording 85 tackles, 52 quarterback hits, 16.5 sacks, 8 forced fumbles with 8 pass breakups, and 1 interception in 50 career games as a Cowboy. He did sign a 5-year, $70 million deal with the Denver Broncos in March as he looks to come back from his injury. Gregory will be ready in time for the 2022 NFL campaign as he begins life in the Mile High City.

Despite their controversial and far from ideal separation, the Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones seems to have no harsh feelings towards Gregory. The team now finds themselves with a gaping hole in that position and will be looking at bringing reinforcements.
