Gentry and Allen attended the University of Wyoming and have been great friends since their time together there. The former was the 26-year-old’s number-one wide receiver. He has also been part of the Bills practice squad or active roster since 2020.

Gentry was also summoned to the team’s active squad twice this season. However, because of the presence of veterans Cole Beasley and John Brown, he could not play a lot.

The move comes just a few games before the Super Bowl. It is assumed that the decision will probably not make Allen thrilled. But there is hope that his friend will resign with the team again because they released and resigned him twice last year. Therefore, fans will have to wait and see if the team lets him go permanently or temporarily.
