After Tom Brady left the New England Patriots, there was a gaping hole in the quarterback position. However, after a couple of shifts in the QB1 position, it seems like Mac Jones has filled the big shoes. While he has been surrounded by controversy, Jones has proven himself to be a quarterback with great potential. The young quarterback also received a word of confidence from his teammate.

His veteran teammate’s words went viral, and they received a largely underwhelming response. As the vote of confidence for Jones went viral on Twitter, fans themselves were thoroughly unimpressed. Jones might not be garnering the same confidence from fans as he is from his teammates.

One of the most important things for a quarterback is to gain trust, especially from his teammates. More than anyone else, the play caller needs to ensure that the whole team has faith in his passes. For Jones, that doesn’t seem to be a problem. A New England Patriots veteran, Devin McCourty went on to exclaim his vote of confidence for Jones.

Via the football show, Good Morning Football, McCourty stated that Jones might very well be the ‘future’ of the Patriots. He expressed his supreme confidence in the young quarterback.
