Former NFL athlete, Emmanuel Acho is now a prominent Fox TV sports analyst. Acho is known to wear his heart on his sleeve. The Fox employee got very animated as he gave his feedback for both quarterbacks from Sunday night’s contest at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. While he didn’t have many pleasant things to say about the Chargers’ quarterback, he was all praises for Patrick Mahomes.

Patrick Mahomes and his Chiefs squad beat the Chargers in a thriller game, whose winner was decided by a small margin of three points.

Acho was particularly impressed by Mahomes’ showing as the MVP candidate threw for three touchdowns during the outing. As he took to the smart screen to break down the plays, he called Mahomes the ‘football Jesus’ as he completed a pass that was least expected to be attempted.

According to Acho, it was none of Mahomes’ business to be threading the needle with passes like that. With the main target, Kelce, guarded against both sides, Mahomes threw the pigskin to his third-string tight end. This unplanned play, according to Acho, was unreal and made him call Mahomes, the football Jesus, for making a dead play come to life.

This Chiefs’ fan was quick to get on it as he remembered the time when Acho didn’t rate Mahomes.

While he was all praises for Mahomes, Acho didn’t have a lot of positive things to say for Mahomes’ counterpart, Justin Herbert. Herbert threw an interception which ended up losing the game for the Chargers, after being in control for the majority of the game.

However, even post this, Herbert was trending all over for his flashy throws and plays. For this, Acho called him the ‘social media’ quarterback. Quite a hot take from Acho toward the young quarterback. Herbert has proven his worth in his short run in the league.

Acho got some slack on social media for saying this about the QB.

The Chargers’ Twitter Admin didn’t waste any time in having their quarterback’s back. They hit back at Acho as they mocked him.

While social media can be a breeding ground for such beef, everyone’s entitled to their voice and opinion. Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes are currently doing the best for their teams. Their teams both rank 1 & 2 in their division and the two will look to build on the momentum as they make a postseason push.
