“Lamar Jackson Can Really Sling the Ball” – Aaron Rodgers Heaps Praise on Ravens Quarterback

Lamar Jackson has been quiet (by his own standards) this season. The swashbuckling dual-threat quarterback led his team to their second consecutive win after beating the Cincinnati Bengals on the weekend. Jackson threw for 180+ yards with two TDs against one interception.
The Florida-born athlete has been dealing with a knee issue over the last two weeks. If we compare him to 2019, he is definitely not at his ‘peak’ yet. Jackson has thrown for 949 yards with nine touchdowns and a pass completion rate of 63.7 after five games. Furthermore, he has rushed for 248 yards with one rushing TD to his name.
Despite his slow start to the season, Green Bay Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, has no qualms that Lamar Jackson will find his stride sooner rather than later.

Aaron Rodgers appeared on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this week. The Green Bay Packers spoke about Jordan Love, Aliens, and the prospect of playing inside an ‘NFL bubble’. He was also asked about reigning NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson. Here’s what Rodgers replied.
“As talented as Lamar is athletically — I mean, the guy is one of the fastest guys in the league — but you watch him in college and he can sling that thing. I mean, he can really sling the ball. Big-time arm, I mean, throwing it 75, 80 yards. So you just knew. One, he’s supremely athletic. Two, he can really throw it.”

“So footwork wise, he’s going to figure it out. With coaching and getting in that offense and timing up his feet with the drops, to me that wouldn’t have been a big issue, you can just see the athletic ability and the things you can’t coach,” Rodgers said on the show.
The Ravens find themselves on a 4-1 record as we approach Week Six of the ongoing NFL season. Their loss this year came against Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs in Week Three.

Coach John Harbaugh’s boys thoroughly outplayed the Cincinnati Bengals on the weekend. They kept Joe Burrow quiet as they marched away with a comprehensive 27-3 win at the M&T Bank Stadium. The Maryland-based franchise will hope to repeat the same display when they take on an underperforming Philadelphia Eagles outfit this weekend.
