Matthew Stafford’s Ice-Cold Attitude Before Super Bowl LVI Would Give Bengals the Chills: “Once the Is Ball Snapped, I Mean, It’s Going to Be Football”

Matthew Stafford, after 13 dormant years in the NFL, has finally made an appearance in the Super Bowl. His first year in the all-star Rams has proven to be more successful than his previous 12 with the Detroit Lions. The quarterback does not want to blow his chance this time.
The 2009 first overall pick, won his first playoff game against the Cardinals this season in the Wild Card Round. However, he went on to win two more playoff games, including the one against the Bucs, which became the career-ending game for the GOAT Tom Brady, to reach the Super Bowl LVI.

Stafford has come a long way this season, and now it seems that there is no stopping him. He will be meeting the Cincinnati Bengals in the final game of this season at the SoFi stadium. The 33-year-old quarterback was seen as very calm and composed throughout the postseason spell, and according to him, he won’t change his demeanor for the big game either.
As they've watched Matthew Stafford working through their (or his own) chaotic moments, his Rams teammates and coaches have grown to admire him – and even depend on his demeanor in complicated moments.

Matthew Stafford, putting on his Super Bowl demeanor
“I think you treat it just like every other game when it gets to that day,” Stafford said, via the team’s website. “You got a job, you got a job to go out there and execute and try and lead your team to help us win. Once the is ball snapped, I mean, it’s going to be football.

“Settle into the game as quickly as you possibly can, trust your eyes, trust your teammates and go play,” Stafford added. “I think that part of it, once the ball is snapped, is hopefully going to be the part that’s the easiest to just eliminate all distractions and go out and play.”

Since the game will be played at SoFi, it is going to be of major advantage for the veteran quarterback. Considering the ice-cold attitude of Stafford, and the undeniably over-skilled players in the Rams roster, the Bengals seem to be in a tough spot. However, Cincinnati has repeatedly surprised the league with its incredible playoff run. It will be quite a watch to see the two sides meet.
