Injuries do not seem to stop following Cleveland Brown in this NFL 2022-23 season. In a rather big injury update recently, the Brown coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed the uncertainty of Myles Garrett for the upcoming match on Thursday. This is going to be an enormous blow for the Browns if this lasts over a longer period.

According to reports, The Browns DE Myles Garrett missed the training on Monday, following a neck injury. With a couple of other players out, HC Stefanski will probably face difficulty choosing the starting lineup against The Pittsburgh Steelers.
Uphill Task For The Browns against The Jets without Myles Garrett
The start of the season had been quite intense for the Cleveland Browns. Both of their games went down to the last moments to determine the eventual winners. The Browns had beaten the Carolina Panthers 26-24 in the season opener. Although, they lost to the Jets 31-30 in a close finish.

The matchup against Pittsburgh at FirstEnergy Stadium on week 3 is going to be an acid test for the Browns. Both teams will fight for the win, as both are currently stalling with a 1-1 record on the table. The Browns’ Defensive End Jadeveon Clowney will already miss the game because of an ankle injury. Besides that, their guard, Joel Bitonio, is also likely to miss the game with a bicep injury. The Cleveland-based franchise will surely miss the tenacity of Myles Garrett. Things might go slightly easier for the Steelers as they face the depleted Cleveland defense.

Diminishing competition for DPOY
As for the fact, The Steelers will also miss the service of the star outside linebacker TJ Watt. Watt was the winner of the Defensive Player of The Year award in the 2021-22 NFL season. Now, with the absence of Myles Garrett, the race for the DPOY award this year might get reduced. According to the NFL community, Micah Parsons is going to benefit from these injuries.

It’s going to be hard for the Browns’ fans to deal with the injury situation. The Browns’ HC responded only with “we’ll see” when asked about Garrett’s ability to take the field. Remaining hopeful for Myles Garrett’s early return from the injury is the only ”wishful thinking’‘ the Cleveland Brown’s fan community can have for now.
