The curious case of North Dakota State University prospect, Trey Lance, continues to divide NFL fans across the States. After a breakthrough season as a Redshirt freshman in 2019, Lance emerged as one of the hottest prospects in college football.
He started all 16 games for the Bisons that year. He ended his sophomore year with 2,786 passing yards, 28 passing TDs, and 0 interceptions. Lance further rushed for 1,100 yards with 14 rushing touchdowns as well.
As a result of his impressive displays, he was honored with the Walter Payton Award and the Jerry Rice Award. Trey was also named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2020 NCAA Division I Football Championship Game.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, NDSU prodigy Trey Lance featured in just one non-conference game in 2020. He threw for 149 yards with 2 passing TDs. He also threw the first (and probably only) interception of his college career in the 39-28 home victory over Central Arkansas last October.
Trey is reportedly on the radar of teams such as the New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and even NFC North franchise, Detroit Lions.
