The 2023 NFL Draft is knocking on the door. With teams licking their chops for all the talented prospects, most prospects have been putting their best foot forward.  Former Kentucky Wildcats quarterback Will Levis has been hard at work. Levis is touted to be one of the top QB prospects, projected to be a first-round pick. And, his transformation has made fans awestruck.

Recently, Levis shared his epic transformation update, putting on his exemplary physique on display. Levis felt that he was finally in the best shape of his career, having just bounced back from a heinous injury. While the results of his hard work and efforts shocked the entire NFL community, it also raised some eyebrows as many felt Levis maybe dabbled in some ‘not too fair’ means.

The Eagles’ AJ Brown responded to Levis’s transformation with a rather insightful take.

Will, this is … with Drug Free Sport. You’ve been randomly selected for a PED test tomorrow, march, 29 at 8:00am. Please report to the testing room with an ID ready to provide an adequate specimen. The testing window will close at 11:30am. Please like this text or reply back, ” Brown wrote.

Brown’s response wasn’t exactly a jab at Levis, as he followed it up, “That’s the actual message we get, so get ready for those

Brown, maybe, wanted to caution the potential NFL star about the allegations that are waiting for him, and it is up to Levis how we perceive the message.

In addition to Brown, several fans also felt that Levis might be involved with ‘doping’.

One NFL user however felt that the allegations were baseless and Levis had actually put in the work.

While Levis has certainly proved this physique to be in top-notch condition, his skills as a QB still need to be polished. Levis didn’t run the 40-meter dash during the NFL Combine, but was measured and is expected to be acquired at some point during the first round.

Will Levis has a long way to go

With Will Levis clearly emerging as a physical specimen, his abilities have been somewhat of a concern for the top NFL evaluators. As per a report by ESPN’s Todd McShay, teams have doubts regarding Levis’s mechanical skills.

That all said, you can still see the tightness in his mechanics, which aren’t a finished product. Levis’s placement on in-breaking throws wasn’t ideal, with some passes arriving behind receivers. Really, the workout reminded me of his tape. There were ‘wow’ throws, but then he missed on ball location on others.

Levis has showcased tremendous arm strength, but his precision is still a question mark. McShay went on to explain that Levis has the capability to pull off specific tricks that other top QB prospects simply cannot. Bleacher Reports’ NFL scout Derrik Klassen had a similar take, as he feels Levis is nothing short of ‘below average’.
