Russell Wilson has successfully cleared the concussion protocol. After taking a scary tumble to the ground against the Chiefs, the QB stated that he was now feeling great. But the quarterback will not be playing in the Broncos’ next game. Despite getting the all-clear, the team has ruled him out and fans could not hold back their reactions to the news.

Wilson, who has become the NFL world’s favorite punching bag, is having a season he’d like to forget soon. The Broncos find themselves at a dismal 3-10. Dange-Russ has been less than mediocre this season. Alongside that, the team has one of the worst-rated offenses this year. Despite being medically cleared to play, the QB is going to sit out Denver’s clash against the Cardinals. Upon hearing this news, fans didn’t bother holding back from brutal honesty.

Wilson and the Broncos are in for the long haul

According to coach Hackett, Wilson was unhappy about sitting out their next game. But the athlete took to Twitter and made a public proclamation. He tweeted, “Love this game. Love this team. Better Days Ahead.” Positive words from a reportedly dejected quarterback. While it is great to see that he is making positive affirmations for the future, Wilson has not shown his team any semblance of a good performance during the season.

The QB has faced criticism from fans in the NFL world. The Broncos Nation has perhaps lost faith in his reported abilities to lead them to victory. Russell Wilson was supposed to be the Broncos’ ticket to the offseason. When they extended a hefty contract to the shot caller, the Broncos were hoping for someone who will be worthy competition to divisional rival Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Did the Broncos set the bar too high or is Russell Wilson not as good anymore? Regardless, Wilson and the Broncos are in it for the long run. If they hope to do better next season, they’ve got their work cut out for them.
