NFL Veteran Drops Bombs on Colin Kaepernick After No Real Progress Following a Successful Workout With Las Vegas Raiders: “I Don’t Think He’s Gonna Play”

The former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick completed his workout sessions with the Raiders. The Raiders had a surprise planned for everyone, which made people wonder whether Colin would make a comeback with them. Well, the workouts are over, and still no sign of any deal coming up for Colin Kaepernick.
The former defensive end legend Marcellus Wiley said, “I’m suspicious. Here’s the thing. I don’t think he’s gonna play. He already had a workout, finished the workout. And now, you’re hearing reports about the same workout. But we’re not hearing about the signing from that same workout.”

Wiley has pointed out why the Raiders have not signed a deal with Kaepernick when they have given him a chance for a workout. Are the Raiders just going for a trial to see how he performs? The situation is a little suspicious because there has been no word about what is about to happen with Colin Kaepernick.
Colin Kaepernick can prove beneficial for the Raiders as a backup for Derek Carr. If Derek Carr goes down, Colin can lead the team as he has the experience of a starting QB. But it is also true that Kaepernick has been away from the field for almost five years. This gap probably could be the reason why NFL franchises are not ready to obtain Kaepernick.
Colin Kaepernick can play an important role as a backup for QB Derek Carr
Wiley on the show, Speak For Yourself, said, “Derek Carr’s not going anywhere solidified. What’s stopping him. They lost Marcus Mariota. They could put the same type of package in for Colin Kaepernick. What’s stopping it? I’ll tell you what’s stopping it. Maybe this was just a kick in the tires. Let’s just see what Kaepernick is doing with no real intention to sign him.”

Currently, Las Vegas Raiders have four quarterbacks on their roster – Derek Carr, Jarrett Stidham, Nick Mullens, and Chase Garbers. If the Raiders go with Colin he should be the 2nd backup choice for the team.

Kaepernick’s last season with the 49ers was a mess as he started in 11 games and lost 10 of them. Well, an opportunity has arrived for the former star. Although, the decision is yet to be made, but the good news is that the Raiders are still considering the player even after being away from the game for a long time.
