Following two separate incidents, the NFL reiterated their policy that prohibits alcohol within team facilities and transportation. The NFL’s commissioner Roger Goodell sent out a memo to all the teams.

The memo serves as a reminder of the league’s policy. The statement said that this rule applied to all players, personnel, guests and coaches travelling with the team.

Why is the NFL sending out the statement now?

Recently after their victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, the Commanders team seemed to have taken the post-game victory celebration on board the plane. Quarterback Taylor Heinicke was featured in a video where he was seen holding a beer while seated on the plane.
