Aaron Rodgers is one of the best QBs to ever play the game. However, while Rodgers is a great quarterback, he might not be the best teammate to interact with off the field and outside the facility. It seems like Rodgers takes his job seriously, but does not care too much about off-the-field camaraderie. A rookie player from the Packers, Romeo Doubs, spoke about the slight disconnect between the rookie and the veteran off the field.

Doubs spoke about how all and any interactions between him and the Packers’ legend has been about just one thing and one thing only: football. It seems as though the QB’s mentorship does not extend beyond the football field for the Packers’ rookie.

Interestingly, Rodgers is in the middle of trade rumors and one of the frontrunners might be recruiting Rodgers solely for his mentorship.

Is Rodgers a good mentor?

After his season got over, a lot of teams were looking to trade for Rodgers. One of the teams was the New York Jets. Rumor has it that the Jets might be willing to trade for Rodgers to bring in a more experienced QB that their rookie QB, Zach Wilson, could learn from. Seemingly, the young QB is an immense Aaron Rodgers fan and would definitely benefit from his experience.

However, with the stories that Doubs has revealed, the mentorship angle might be unlikely. However, only time will tell if Rodgers will pick up the role of a mentor, whether he lands in New York or stays with the Packers.
