The recent developments in Elon Musk and his bid to purchase Twitter have made legendary Denver Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe throw a flag on the play. Sharpe believes that the breakdown of the Twitter Inc.-Elon Musk deal suggests a breaching of the agreement by the latter. The April 25 agreement was setting things up for Musk to buy Twitter Inc. for a reported $44 billion deal, but it has since collapsed.

Sharpe was less than pleased with Musk pulling out of the deal to buy Twitter, stating, “Hope they sue the brakes off him.” Musk’s decision to pull the plug on the deal was due to Twitter misrepresenting user data.

Musk was unhappy with the number of spam bots on the platform being higher than the company had disclosed.

While Twitter Inc. has shared its displeasure about Musk pulling out, the chances of the latter getting in trouble have increased. Sharpe seems a bit harsh on Musk and believes that the breach happened knowingly. While the legendary Broncos star is known for his hot takes on various subjects on FS1’s Undisputed, this particular take seems premature.

Following a 14-year Hall of Fame career in the NFL, Sharpe made his debut in the television world in 2004. He became a commentator for The NFL Today on CBS. After spending 10 years in that role, he took up the position of a radio host for Sirius NFL Radio’s “Opening Drive” program.

But it was after teaming up with Skip Bayless in 2016 on FS1’s Undisputed that Sharpe made a name for himself. Being an NFL veteran, Sharpe has shared some opinions about the current NFL players and their performances.
