This vintage passing trick is known as the Double Lateral. It is very similar to Dontari Poe’s touchdown pass in 2016. Moreover, given the athleticism and freshness of the squad, ‘Big Red’ Andy Reid might take the trick out of the old-school playbook into consideration.
Patrick Mahomes has high hopes from Mecole Hardman Jr.
Now that Tyreek Hill is gone, Patrick Mahomes needs a new number one receiver, and Mecole Hardman Jr. fits right into the position. Over the years, the WR has not disappointed in terms of statistics. It keeps him in as the No. 1 guy for Mahomes. Even though it will not be the same without Hill, Mecole has the ‘IT’ factor for a speedy wideout. Even Patrick Mahomes has hopes rising for the wide receiver.

Mahomes mentions, “I think whenever Mecole has gotten opportunities in this offense, whether it was when Tyreek had to go out or he would come in and run the routes that Tyreek ran, he would make plays happen. He made a lot of big plays in big moments, especially at the end of last season. So, for me, it’s for him to just continue to be himself. He doesn’t have to be Tyreek Hill; he has to be Mecole Hardman, and I think Mecole Hardman can be a great player in this offense.”
