The Bengals’ journey to the Super Bowl has been unreal. From literally being in the last place in the entire league, they’ve had a tough climb. Two Philadelphia Eagles players were paying close attention to the Bengals as well. The wide receiver DeVonta Smith and quarterback Jalen Hurts. 

Smith even received a phone call from his teammate after Cincinnati made it to the finals. The bond between these two brothers is unbreakable. And they also dream about playing in the big game together one day. Hurts and Smith are one of the best QB and WR duos in the game today.

Jalen Hurts is the future at QB according to DeVonta Smith

The Philadelphia Eagles made it to the playoffs. They had a pretty good season. With a record of 9 wins and 8 losses, the Eagles were in the second position on the NFC East table. Their playoff journey was cut short, however. The Buccaneers defeated the Eagles in the wild card round.

DeVonta Smith recently did a podcast with Philadelphia 76ers’ star Danny Green. During the podcast, he talked about the quarterback Jalen Hurts. The relationship between the two goes beyond the field. Smith was not shy to put over his quarterback.

He talked about how Hurts has improved over time and the way he continues to get better. Smith claims Jalen is the kind of guy who corrects his mistakes. Hurts do not shy away from accepting he is wrong and works on getting better every day. Even before having the ankle surgery, the quarterback has already started talking about his third season in Philadelphia. He wants to come back stronger than ever.

The Cincinnati Bengals have inspired many people by making it to the playoffs. Maybe they can even win the big one. It is the year of the tiger, after all. When the Bengals defeated the Chiefs in OT, DeVonta Smith said that Jalen Hurts called him.

Smith says, “Jalen called me right after,” The WR said that Hurts told him, “‘Man, that could be us. We’re going to get there. We see what they do, and we know we can get there.’” Jalen Hurts is dealing with an injured ankle at the moment. But the quarterback is focused on the next season. The Eagles will be the team to look out for in the coming NFL seasons.
