In the current scenario, it looks like Davante Adams is the only athlete putting his best for the Raiders. The franchise has just gone down to 2-7 following a frustrating loss against the Indianapolis Colts. The elite wide receiver opens up about how the slump continues to grow.

This offseason, Adams had a choice to stay with Aaron Rodgers and script new records at Green Bay or move out for the sake of his family. Surprisingly, he went for the latter one with a hefty $141.25 million contract, but now he seems to have been paying the price.

The Raiders are placed last in the AFC West with a terrible season record of 2-7. The most recent loss came against the Indianapolis Colts, trailing by five points. Adams looked clearly disappointed, despite giving his best for the team.

“I mean throughout the week, and then, Sunday is supposed to be fun. And that’s the least fun day of the week right now. So that’s a problem. We’ve gotta fix that.” Adams said after the loss.

In football, teamwork is essential to winning games, and throughout the season Raiders have been deprived of mutual coordination. The five-time Pro Bowl mentioned the very notion, explaining that only a few players don’t make the team, efforts put forward by each and every athlete counts for the ultimate result. “I don’t think it’s a buy-in I don’t think people are,” Adams said when asked if there was a lack of impact creating players in the squad.

Adams went on to claim that football is the most imperfect sport, and in the end, it’s about making plays and winning the games.

After making an exit from Green Bay, the passer created a big void in the locker room. More than Rodgers, it seems Adams is suffering from his decision. The wideout had previously claimed that the reason behind the Raiders’ poor performance was due to coaching mismanagement.

He publicly called out HC Josh McDaniels and revealed that the staff needs to make adjustments as the players do. Moreover, he criticized the offensive unit for not living up to expectations and for lack of coordination.

These issues weren’t something he had experienced back in Green Bay. The veteran played for eight seasons with Rodgers, and their partnership scripted several records and wins. Well, that kind of chemistry is yet to be seen between Carr and the wideout. Anyway, the situation doesn’t look good for the Raiders this season.
