REPORTS: Bengals QB Joe Burrow Was Chased By Miami Dolphins Organization During The 2020 NFL Draft

Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow is really a talent who did nearly became a Miami Dolphins player. The talented young QB was really a sought-after individual during the 2020 NFL Draft as Cincinnati did receive a call from Miami. But the credit really goes to the Bengals franchise who never wavered on who they did target to be their No.1 overall pick.

The decision to not even negotiate assets for their draft pick is really something that has paid off. The decision and its repercussions have really come to life with the contrasting fortunes of both franchises. The Bengals are in an AFC Championship game and one win away from the Super Bowl appearance.

While the Dolphins find themselves in search of a new head coach, a plethora of questions do remain unanswered. It is one of those instances of what could have been with Burrow and how it could have been so huge.

The former LSU player did come into the draft on the back of an amazing and record-breaking college season. He was arguably the best QB in his class, which also did consist of future Dolphins QB Tua Tagovaiola. There are reports which do claim the desperation that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was willing to go to recruit Burrow. The trade would retrospectively have seen the resurgence of the Dolphins as a playoff regular in the NFL.

But drafting Tua isn’t regret but rather a huge opportunity in the eyes of the Dolphins franchise. The franchise did reinforce their faith in him by firing head coach Brian Flores who did a very impressive job. A really impressive young coach, Flores did seem to have issues with Tagovaiola and backing Tua sends the message of faith that Dolphins do possess.

But the attention currently does turn to Burrow who does have a date with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. The QB and his roster are just a win away from their first Super Bowl appearance since the 1988 season.
