The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE was challenged to kick a 25-yard field goal on an undisclosed location as part of a promotional stunt. “[It was] a thirty-second spot, [so] we had to shoot right over [the game],” Kostek said in an exclusive interview with ET. “It was a lot of stress, but congrats to the Chiefs!”

Gronkowski’s advertisement ran in the third quarter of the Chiefs-Eagle game. The 4× First-team All-Pro must have missed a lot of field goals in his career. But missing this one would have definitely hurt.

The agreement that promised to provide supporters $10 million in free bonus bets was still being upheld by FanDuel Sportsbook, even if Gronk could not kick the ball into the goal. Later on, an appearance on FanDuel TV’s ‘Up & Adams,’ Rob Gronkowski revealed that it was mother nature who stood in his way. He blamed the wind for being too intense. “Mother Nature was like ‘no, no, no, no, no, Gronk, you’re not scoring again in the Super Bowl.”
