Despite consistent reports linking Garoppolo to a move away from The Bay, NBC Sports correspondent and 49ers insider Matt Maiocco remains confident that the easy-on-the-eye quarterback will return as a starter in 2020.
While referring to Garoppolo’s no-trade clause, Maiocco played down any rumors of a potential trade deal with the Texans.

“BUT…if there were a trade possibility, he would almost certainly waive the clause. Otherwise, he would not get that kind of money,” Maiocco said via Twitter.
If that weren’t enough, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne also backed Jimmy G to prove his naysayers wrong in 2021.
