For NFL fans, watching Tom Brady play at the competitive level is like a privilege for many. Especially, his teammates have a weighty advantage. But Ben Affleck had the privilege to perform some football workouts with the NFL GOAT. The athlete had some crazy moments with Batman. But he once chose Affleck over Bündchen to do some routine drills.

During the year 2021, in an interview with Bill Simmons, Ben Affleck revealed about the day he got the chance to play catch with Tom Brady. The prominent actor and Cambridge native got to fulfill a dream that many Patriots and Buccaneers fans have.

The Justice League actor mentioned, “He calls me up and says ‘Yeah [Gisele’s] not a great receiver ya know, she’s kind of gotten tired of catching balls for me. So, you want to catch some balls for me?’ To me, I think this was a guy going, ‘Am I trying to make someone’s dreams come true today? Yeah, I’ll change someone’s life. Do you want to catch some footballs for me?’”

While training with Tom Brady, what Affleck didn’t expect was to go in the amount of sweat he’d be required to perform that day when Brady tossed to him as he does during the games. Something within the Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, or Chris Godwin level.

Brady also made Affleck feel it wasn’t simply catching. The QB would say, “Alright, it’s the Super Bowl. We’re on the 16-yard line, it’s fourth down. We have six seconds. We win this, it’s everything. We miss, it’s over.” The actor got into full Batman Mode just listening to him and leaped to dive and grab the pass.
