Deion Sanders promised to make changes to the roster he inherited after joining Colorado. And he definitely did so in a short period by letting go of old players and filling their place with new ones. More than 80% of the players have already left or are in the transfer portal. Although Deion’s college administration totally supported his decision, he was quick to come under a lot of security. These last few weeks have been an emotional whirlwind for Deion. But now that his talented son made a huge move in his father’s favor, Deion finally has something to celebrate.

Deion has been ridiculed in his first few weeks as a head coach. Pittsburgh head coach Pat Narduzzi expressed strong hesitance towards making significant changes to the roster and also mentioned that it made all the coaches across the country look bad.

Deion had already recruited 7 new players to the roster after his joining as a head coach. Shedeur Sanders, his youngest son, already hopped on the transfer to the Collarado team back in December. He shows great promise as a quarterback for the team, with a bright future ahead. And for the eighth recruit of the team, Shilo Sanders, Deion’s second oldest son, has officially announced to join his father and younger brother. He posted a movie-like video on Twitter, with the caption ‘Committed’, confirming his transfer to the team.

The 23-year-old defensive back has had two incredible seasons with 59 total tackles for Jackson State. He also recorded 32 tackles in only 13 games he played for South Carolina. He graduated from Jackson State earlier this month. Deion has brought a lot of new faces from Jackson State, and now that his favorite son is also on the roster, he has a promising team.

The promising future of Colorado under Deion

All the changes to the team didn’t go in vain. The first spring game at Colorado generated a whopping $200000 net profit, the highest in 27 years. He landed star players from other teams and has built a dominant team. And now that his son has committed to his team, he will have a better defensive roster as well.

To sum it up, Deion has been upfront from the beginning that he was going to make serious changes, and he did exactly that. Even though he has been under a lot of criticism, the fans seem very hopeful for this season. The college administration has hope in the new head coach’s decision for a reason. Deion has proven time and time again his accuracy in building and leading a good team and he plans to do so in Colorado as well.
