Aaron Rodgers couldn’t showcase a more depressing play in his career than what he exhibited on Sunday against the Detroit Lions. The Packers lost 15-9 with an unimaginably poor performance, nearly ending their aspirations for this season. Rodgers’ frustration was clearly evident on the sidelines when the passer was trying to hang up the phones, leaving the fans in splits.

What a game for the Lions! With this performance, Detroit has improved their season record to 2-6, and the Packers went down 3-6 after Week 9. All thanks to Aaron Rodgers, who was uncharacteristically off his game in terms of accuracy and conceded three interceptions while only scoring a single touchdown in the third quarter.

It was unbelievable to see the Packers trailing 8-0 by the end of the first half. It was the game that could have changed the course for Rodgers and the Packers to break the losing streak.

Instead, the Packers have now lost five games straight for the first time since 2008. As a starter in these illustrious 15 seasons, this year happened to be his career low, especially in terms of connecting with the receivers and missing crucial chances to get back on track.

“I think there’s a lot to it,” Rodgers said about improving the offensive unit. “But it really just comes down to execution. Play comes in, we’ve got to execute it. There’s a lot of things that go into that. We had a couple chances for sure. Can’t lose a game like that against that team, though, so that’s going to hurt for a while,” he added.

Well, his ‘that team’ comment raged the Detroit fans even more, and the passer got immensely trolled online. Meanwhile, one of the eye-catching moments from Rodgers came when the passer was speaking over the phone on the sidelines. He was unable to hang the receiver, as a clearly frustrated and anxious Rodgers was on full display.

Aaron Rodgers draws seamless reactions from the fans

After the departure of Davante Adams, the Packers’ locker room is deprived of an effective wide receiver. However, it doesn’t count as an excuse anymore. In the end, it’s about winning games.

Moreover, Rodgers missing to connect with the youngsters recently happened to be a hot topic of discussion. His lack of coordination was clearly evident during Sunday’s performance, and as the fans had mentioned, while hanging up the phone, as well.
