Mac Jones performance against the Miami Dolphins

The New England rookie was able to finish 20 of his 30 passes thrown for 261 yards. He managed to score one touchdown and get intercepted once as well. The Interception came in the third quarter. It put the team in a deeper hole. The quarterback fumbled on a pick-6, and it put the Patriots 0-14 down.

Later in the game, the Patriots and Jones made a late charge. In the fourth quarter, Mac Jones completed all 9 of his passes for 121 yards accompanied by a touchdown. But they were in a deep hole from early on. The team could not overcome their opponents.

After the loss, New England is on the road to a wild card weekend. They have a regular-season record of 10-7. They were paying close attention to the game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders. The result of this game would decide who the Patriots will face. If the Chargers would have won, New England would travel to Cincinnati and faced the Bengals. But the Raiders won, which means The Patriots will be taking on the Buffalo Bills.

After the match, Mac Jones was not happy with his performance. During the post-game interviews, he said, “It’s super embarrassing, honestly,” Jones adds, “I can be better. It starts with me. I’m the quarterback, and that’s my job, is to make people around me have success.”

Mac knows that the quarterback is the heart of the team. He needs to deliver for everyone to play well. Without the quarterback, the team is lost. With his performance all throughout the season, we know Mac Jones has potential in him. He has the ability to bounce back stronger.
