Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady always knows how to dodge the troublesome retirement questions. But Monday, he tried facing them. The legendary QB is coming fresh off of his early exit from the NFL Divisional Round. During his appearance on the Let’s Go Podcast, Brady did put some important things in life into perspective while keeping his options open.

Brady did talk about his aspirations beyond football and how family time might just be around the corner. He does talk about the importance of his wife Gisele Bündchen and his kids in any final decision. The 7-time Super Bowl champion has been playing for 22 seasons and still manages to have a great 2021 season.

With the dedication to be this good at that stage of one’s career, Brady is one of the few defying ‘father time’. While discussing when he will step away, “The team doesn’t deserve anything less than my best.”

“If I feel like I’m not committed to that, or I can’t play at a championship level, then you gotta give someone else a chance to play.
