The Tampa Bay Buccaneers downed the Philadelphia Eagles by 31-15 in the Raymond James Stadium to proceed to the Divisional Round for the second straight season. However, the productive presence of receiver Mike Evans did not give an impression that the Bucs were dealing with the same.

During the post-game conference, the veteran quarterback was asked about having a passing game to win the matchup. “Just trying to figure out to move the ball down the field and score some points,” Brady said. “I thought we did a good job in a couple of those areas.”

However, he further went on to elaborate on his rushing game instead. “We ran the ball really well,” he continued. “Line played great, receivers played great, tight ends played great. Used a lot of different people and everyone got in there made some plays; helped the team win… We’re gonna need them again it only gets tougher from here.”

During the game, it was pretty evident that Brady was utilizing more of his running backs than receivers. Subsequently, running backs Ke’Shawn Vaughn and Giovani Bernard had a key role in their victory. Both the backs scored a touchdown each and was picked 17 times and 13 times, respectively.

The Buccaneers are certainly witnessing the Brady effect again. It is just mind-blowing to see how just one player can have an impact so big that a team with a playoff drought of 13 years wins the Super Bowl in his presence and is on its way to winning another this season. Tom Brady has a total of 35 playoff wins, the most in the NFL. Which is more than double the next closest which is 16 wins of Joe Montana.
