Tom Brady Overwhelmed By Love From Fans and Media After Retirement Announcement: ‘I’m Glad So Many People Enjoy Watching Me. Believe Me, I Love Playing More Than They Love Watching Me’
For the first time since his retirement, Tom Brady, along with Jim Gray, appeared on his podcast show, “LET’S GO!” The seven-time Super Bowl winner announced his retirement earlier this month. It was a devastating blow to his fans and those who loved the game.
Tom Brady spoke publicly for the first time since his retirement. During the podcast, the two discussed the various events in the league and about Brady’s personal life. A major part of their conversation focused on the reactions of the people to Brady’s retirement announcement. Jim asked Brady if he was surprised by all of the attention and the overwhelming response from the crowd.

Brady answered, “Absolutely. And you know, I am just very humbled by everything. I guess I’ve been around a lot of people over the years.” Additionally, Brady added that he was grateful to have been around so many people for the relationships he had built with them.
Further, he also expressed his appreciation for the amount of love he has received. He said, “I’ve impacted people’s lives, and certainly, they’ve impacted mine too. So, whether those were teammates of mine or competitors of mine, you know there was so much mutual respect.”
It is difficult for Tom Brady too
It’s no secret that Brady’s game has made plenty of people fall in love with him. Brady told Jim that he knows how it feels to be a fan when a player you love retires. He said, “People who really loved watching me play, I know what that feels like coz I loved watching Michael Jordan play and I loved watching Steve Young………. I loved watching Tiger Woods golf so I know exactly what that feels like.”

Brady stated that he cherished football more than any of his fans could ever imagine. He said, “I love playing more than they love watching me. So, for many people that love watching me play, I enjoyed playing, playing the game, and being in there much more than that.”
