The world flipped upside down when Will Smith ascended the stage at the 2022 Oscars to slap his old friend and the host Chris Rock. Massive reactions poured from all sides, and the entire social media was flooded with memes and opinions. One such opinion, was given by Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Kayla Nicole.

Though every opinion on the slap gate controversy was quite straightforward, the one by Nicole seemed to be far from reality. She clearly feels that the two actors, who once used to work together, need to mend their friendship in a unique way. However, given the complexity between the two celebrities, could that ever happen?

Kelce’s girlfriend was very active on Twitter when the incident broke out. At first, she was clueless as to why Smith reacted the way he did. But then, after learning about Jada’s alopecia, she exclaimed that “medical conditions should be off limits. Not sure if this was common knowledge.”

Hours later, she said, “Disclaimer: In the real world, if you put your hands on someone be ready for the repercussions. Because this isn’t Hollywood, and you can go to jail.”

Clearly, she did not choose the side of either of the two and had a very neutral stance on the matter. 

Kayla Nicole makes a bizarre proposal to the Academy 

However, what was bizarre was to see her request to the Academy, which if happens, would make next year’s Oscars super hit. “Hope they let Chris and Will host next year,” she tweeted. Although it was a very naïve way to conclude, but it cannot be denied that the show would then become a must-watch. 

Given the complexity of the situation and keeping in mind that the Academy has banned Smith from the Oscars and other Academy events for the next 10 years, the proposal may never come to life. Yet it would be very interesting to see the two celebrities mend their relationship.
