Washington’s Ryan Fitzpatrick Could Set Disappointing New Record This Season

Ryan Fitzpatrick will be starting quarterback for the Washington Football Team next season. After a strong stint in Miami last season, where he served as the back-up for young rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Fitzpatrick showed that he can still contribute as a veteran quarterback in the league.
Fitzpatrick will be the starter in Washington and will be hoping to lead Washington further in the playoffs than they did last season.
However, as good as he has been, Ryan Fitzpatrick could set a record this season. And it isn’t one that he’d be particularly proud of.

Fitzpatrick could become the first player to lose to 31 teams in the NFL this season. Fitzpatrick has lost to 28 teams in his career so far.
And from the four teams that he hasn’t lost to (Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Green Bay Packers), three of them are on Washington Football Team’s schedule.

Fitzpatrick will want to avoid losing to these teams this season. However, they are some of the strongest in the league this season. Therefore, Fitzpatrick will have to play some of the best football in his career. But Fitzpatrick’s larger focus will be on his team.
Washington made a strong effort last season reaching the playoffs from the NFC East. But they ran into eventual Super Bowl winners Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who were able to dispatch of them with relative ease.
Ryan Fitzpatrick looking to make his mark this season
For Fitzpatrick, this stint in Washington is the best opportunity to show that he can be a starter on a good team in the NFL. His last few years in the league have been difficult, where he has accepted a secondary role for teams.

However, if he can lead the Washington Football Team to the Playoffs next season, and get them past the wildcard round, then he will have vindicated himself.
