WATCH: Denver Broncos Fans Take Notice as Von Miller Compares Teddy Bridgewater to Peyton Manning

Vic Fangio-coached Denver Broncos knew they were in need of a strong quarterback to challenge for the AFC West title in 2021. Since the departure of Peyton Manning, the Broncos have had a string of quarterbacks challenge for a starting berth. This season, they had three – Jeff Driskel, Drew Lock, and the experienced Teddy Bridgewater.
The latter arrived in the offseason from Carolina Panthers who opted to bring in a younger QB in the form of Sam Darnold. Bridgewater, who previously featured for New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings, worked towards improving his fitness during the summer.

He managed to impress HC Vic Fangio and was named as the first-choice starter for the Week 1 showdown against New York Giants. It’s safe to say he did not disappoint.

Teddy Bridgewater put in a dominant display as Denver Broncos sealed a comfortable 27-13 win over NFC East old boys, New York Giants. In fact, his performance was so impressive that Denver fan favorite Von Miller even compared Bridgewater to the legendary Peyton Manning.

“I haven’t felt that in a while – since 18 was here man. Keep with that s***. Those little pep talks go a long way, you what I’m saying? We need that s***. We haven’t had that in a minute,” Miller told Bridgewater following the team’s opening week win.
Bridgewater concluded his Broncos debut with 264 passing yards and 2 passing touchdowns. He completed 28 of his 36 attempted passes on the night.

With the return of Miller and the emergence of Teddy, coach Fangio will hope to lead his team to the NFL post-season in 2021. Whether lady luck is on their side or not, remains to be seen. Watch this space for more.
