WATCH: Odell Beckham Jr. Shared His Excitement With F1 Icon Lewis Hamilton in Monaco Ahead of His Move to Cleveland Browns

F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton and NFL starlet Odell Beckham Jr. are good friends. Despite being a part of different sports and belonging to different countries, the duo has maintained a close friendship. They once met in Monaco in 2019. Lewis shared a video of them talking to each other while driving in Monaco.

Their meeting was around the time when OBJ was being traded to the Cleveland Browns from the New York Giants. The star WR was visibly very excited about his move to Cleveland, and he shared his thoughts with Lewis.

Lewis asked him, “Dude, I’ve been wondering how’s things with a new team?” Odell answered, “Yeah, I’m excited, So I’m moving, I’m still looking at a house, my mom and takes me just now she’s talking about some houses…”

Odell Beckham Jr. added, “I’ve been praying, you know, I needed a fresh start, and then I get traded to Cleveland you know, I mean shows a lot of the right reasons I promise and then I get reunited with Jarvis, this is something we talked about in college… like that’s my brother.”

Despite his excitement about his move to the Cleveland Browns, things didn’t go quite as planned for him. He shortly left the franchise, and his dream to bring a championship to Cleveland was left incompleted.

As visible above, Odell was very excited about his move to the Browns. He thought it would be a fresh start for him, and he’ll prosper in his new surrounding. However, this fresh start for him ultimately ended up as one of his worst experiences.

At that time, OBJ was one of the best WRs in the league. Since he joined the Browns, his stock fell massively. The biggest reason for his failure in Cleveland was his lack of chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield. Many people believed that Baker intentionally didn’t want to throw the ball toward OBJ. Moreover, the Browns played well when OBJ was out hurt. It was a major concern for Odell.

Last year, OBJ made the right decision and left the Browns. He joined the LA Rams and won a Super Bowl with them. He could develop a strong relationship with his new QB Matthew Stafford, and he brought his career back on track.
