Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks started their 2020 NFL campaign on a strong note. They won their opening 5 games of the season in scintillating fashion.
In fact, Wilson was touted as a potential frontrunner for the MVP award as well. However, their form dipped midway through the season.
Nevertheless, the Seahawks won NFC West with a 12-4 record. But their post-season run was halted in its infancy at the hands of divisional rivals, the Los Angeles Rams. They suffered a humbling 20-30 defeat in the Wild Card Round.

One of the major reasons for their downfall was the lack of safety afforded to star quarterback Russell Wilson. The 31-year-old veteran was sacked 47 times throughout the season and is reportedly unhappy with his offensive line.

Russell Wilson ended his 2020 NFL regular season campaign with 4,200+ passing yards and 40+ passing touchdowns. He is still regarded as a Top-5 quarterback in the league but is reportedly unhappy playing under Pete Carroll in Emerald City.
He is being linked to potential moves to Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and even the Las Vegas Raiders. But NFL insider Adam Schefter claimed that despite persistent links to Dallas Cowboys, a possible Russell Wilson-Dak Prescott trade is likely off the cards.

“Don’t see the Cowboys being able to make a move for Russell Wilson as much sense as it might make to some. To do that, they would have to get Dak Prescott traded to Seattle, and Dak Prescott would have to be willing to sign, what we think will be his franchise tender, to make that trade possible.
“Why would Dak Prescott cooperate with the Dallas Cowboys and allow them to dictate where he’s going to go in the future? He doesn’t owe them that. And so he’s not going to do that,” Schefter said on his ESPN podcast earlier this week.

Coach Carroll needs to surround Wilson with better players on right and left guard. The Seahawks have ranked 15th or lower in overall spending on the offensive line every year since 2015, That needs to change this summer if they intend to hold on to their prized asset.
